We loved Joan! We shared so many laughs over the years! We knew her since approximately 1974. We loved to drop in on her and Mr Jiggs for some good old fashioned comfort food. Her carrot cake was to die for! (I can hear her laugh on that one!). When she was discharged from the hospital, the time before last, she called several times a week to make sure that we were still behaving! We will miss her so much!

I still recount to strangers the memories from childhood of this beautiful woman. I feel sad knowing she has left us. My condolences to all of her precious family!

We were sad to hear of your mother’s passing. Your mom was an amazing mother, wife, grandmother, and friend. When we were in Swaziland we were always encouraged by her many letters and prayers for us and our family. Since being back in the states we looked forward to our infrequent visits and many phone calls. She will be Greatly Missed by all who knew her. In my heart and mind I can clearly see her smile as Jesus welcomed her into Heaven and told her: “Well done, good and faithful servant”!

Heaven claimed a new angel. She was like another mother to me as I grew up on Delong Rd. She will be missed. R.I.P.
