Agnes I. Golden age 92, of Cridersville died 4:15 p.m., Saturday at Otterbein-Cridersville. She was born July 23, 1922 in Allen County to the late Andrew Franklin and Merlie Valeria Thompson Hinkle. She married Robert Asa Golden Nov. 13, 1944 and he preceded her in death March 12, 1996.
Mrs. Golden was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and belonged to Ruth Circle and the Hospitality Committee as well. She also helped at the Christian Corner Community Center Soup Kitchen and greatly loved her family.
Survivors include a son Dennis R. (Patricia) Golden of Wapak, 3 grandchildren Sarah (Jason) Vogt, of Wapak, Daniel (Krista) Golden of Gettysburg, OH and Andrew Golden fiancée Danielle Azzarelli of Wapak, great grandchildren: Samantha Rose Vogt, Hannah Grace Vogt, Robert James Golden, Ella Grace Golden and Jacob Daniel Golden, brother-in law Charles Delong of Cridersville, and sisters-in-law: Alice Hunt of Lima, Ruth Mullenhour of Ft. Wayne and Karen Hinkle of Cridersville.
She was preceded in death by sons: Carl & Robert Golden, brothers: Don & Clyde Hinkle and sisters Ruby Watterson Delong and Beulah Putt and Velma Mayer Geyer.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville and 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. The funeral service will begin 11 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church with Pastor James C. Couser officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or to Christian Corner Community Center.
