Annabelle P. Bowsher, age 91 of Wapakoneta, died at 4:05 p.m., Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Wapak Manor Nursing Home. She was born September 28, 1924 in Auglaize County, to the late William and Hazel Sunderland Place. On September 28, 1944 she married Robert Eugene Bowsher, who died March 16, 2006.
Mrs. Bowsher had worked in the cafeteria with the Wapakoneta School System. She was a graduate of Buckland School and a member of the Buckland United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son – Russell E. (Linda M.) Bowsher of Wapakoneta; a daughter – Dianna J. Fisher of Wapakoneta; 3 grandchildren – Brenda K. (Ric) Abbott, Anna M. Miller, Sean A. (Kierstin) Bowsher; 5 greatgrandchildren – Jordan T. Cavin, Kaitlyn R. Cavin, Derek A. Cavin, Sara M. Cavin, and Camden N. Abbott; a brother – Glen (Grace) Place of Spencerville; and 2 sister-in-laws – Marjorie Place of Wapakoneta and Betty Place of Spencerville.
She was preceded in death by a son – Pearl William Bowsher who died 1961; a daughter – Wavalene Miller who died in 2014; a grandson – Andrew E. Miller; 2 son-in-laws – Nelson R. Fisher and Richard Miller; 2 brothers – Ira Place, Carl Gene ‘Shorty’ Place.
Private graveside services will be held in Buckland Cemetery.
