Armand”Bud” Ottaviano, age 82, of Sarasota, FL, formerly of Plant City, Fl and Lima, Ohio, died March 14th at Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota. Born August 27, 1929 in Kent,Ohio to Tony and Angelina Oldano Ottaviano, who preceded him in death. Survived by his wife, Marian (Grider), whom he married Jan. 22, 1951.
Mr. Ottaviano served in the Army and the Airforce. He retired from the Railroad where he had been a police detective. He also retired from Shawnee Schools District where he worked as a building and grounds superintendent. He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with friends and family.
Survivors include a son John Ottaviano, Granddaughter Jennifer Farmer and husband Mike Farmer and her son, his great grandson Justin Kitchen, grandson Joseph Ottaviano and his wife Wu Xia and great granddaughter Rose Ottaviano.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons: Donald and Thomas, 2 brothers Aldo, Joseph and 3 sisters Josephine Gallina, Edith Spain and Albina Ciccolini. Burial will be in Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent, Ohio. There will be no showing or service.
