Arthur P. Kenny, Jr., age 94 of Wapakoneta, died at 9:30 p.m., Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Auglaize Acres. He was born September 18, 1920 in Lima, Ohio; to the late Arthur P. and Mary Kathryn Schneider Kenny, Sr. On October 25, 1958 he married Wilma Marie Tippie who died July 14, 2007.
Mr. Kenny was a retired machinist for 39 years with Lima Loco Works, Clark Equipment. He was a
WW II U. S. Marine Veteran and a life member of the St. Mary’s American Legions Post 323. He also belonged to the Clark Equipment Retirees.
Survivors include – 3 sons – Steve (Betty) Kenny of Elida; Bruce (Linda) Kenny of Elida; Art (Kristi) Kenny III of Acworth, GA; a daughter – Pat (Rich) Novo of Lima; 2 step daughters – Sharon Singleton of Wapakoneta; Nana L. (David) Krueger of Wapakoneta; 23 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son – Phil Kenny; a grandson – Art Kenny, 2 great grandchildren – Eric and Kaitlyn Singleton; a brother – Robert Kenny; and 5 sisters – Jean Mack, Mary Kathryn Moffat, Roberta Rigali, Ruth Archer, and Lavera Kenny. .
Private family graveside services will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery, where military rites will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Tri County Visiting Nurses and Hospice or the activities fund at Auglaize Acres.
