/>Barbara A. Downing, age 82 of Lima passed at 2:52 p.m., Saturday, February 13, 2021 at her residence in Columbus Ohio. She was born June 1, 1938 in Guilford County, Indiana to the late Daniel B. and Marie Bea Myer Dunaway.
　
Barbara graduated from Rushville, Indiana high school. She retired from Westinghouse Electric Corporation and was a member of the First Missionary Church in Lima.
　
She is survived by a son – Charles A. (Nicole) Rayburn of Columbus, Ohio; a daughter – Tamara S. Rayburn Rigano of Huntington Beach, California; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and her former husband – Charles E. Rayburn.
　
She was preceded in death by 12 siblings. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
　
Funeral services will begin 12:00 p.m., Monday, February 15, 2021 at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Lima.
　
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Missionary Church.

She was the best Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Friend and we were blessed to have her as ours. She was the sweetest soul on earth and now in Heaven. Her Love and smile will be in our hearts forever. “Me and Mom were and always will be…Two Peas in a Pod” She was our Pretty, itty bitty Barb and so much more. She will be missed more than words can say but she is in Heaven watching out for all of us now and being re-united with all of her other loved ones. Bless your heart, Mom. My sweet friend Barb. Over the 40 years I knew you I learned a lot from you. You were there for me at the times that were most important that I needed someone. What a wonderful friend you were. I will miss you dearly. What a sweet soul. I remember when the kids were little. My son asking you if he could go to the park also with you and Charlie and you scooped him right up and took him also. Grandma Barb, you were an amazing woman and I’m so grateful to have had you in my life...especially as a kid. You were there for me and my Mom like nobody else on Earth could be. I learned so much from you and I’ll miss you and cherish our memories for the rest of my life. I know Jesus gave you the biggest hug by now and I love you forever and always. Love, Charlie.

Aunt Barbara was an amazing soul. She was fun, loving, a wonderful Mother and Grandmother. She loved God, family, and worked hard all of her life. She was so full of energy and fire. Always helping someone, neighbors, friends, and family. I have so many fond memories of her beginning when I was a little girl. We had so many long talks, Aunt Barb loved to talk. We would talk for hours reminiscing about days gone by, laughing about some of the things that happened in our family, and also crying about the sad things in our lives. She will always be my little, bitty, pretty Aunt Barb who I will always hold dear to my heart! Rest in peace Aunt Barb, I will always love you!Your namesake, Barbara

Aunt Barbara was a beautiful soul, so full of love and zest for life. She loved God, treated people like she would want to be treated. I have a lot of good memories with this beautiful woman starting when I was a little girl. She made me laugh, we cried together reminiscing over days gone by. We would talk for hours, she loved to talk. Everyone I knew loved her. She was crazy over her two children and would have done anything for them. She talked endlessly about her children and grandchildren. She was a true lady who I will forever love and miss. Rest in peace my little bitty pretty Aunt Barb! We will meet again, I love you.
