Barbara Jo (Burnett) Ailes, age 61 of Indiana, passed Sunday, May 17, 2020 at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born July 25, 1958 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Charles and Irene Lutz Burnett.

Barbara graduated from North Decatur High School. A couple of her favorite things to do was shopping at garage sales, reading newspapers and books. She will be remembered for being loving, caring, having a big heart and always helping others. She loved her family dearly and she absolutely adored her grandchildren and treasured time spent with family.

Survivors include her companion of 28 years, Bruce Powers, Sr.; her oldest son – Joshua (Emily) Ailes and their children – Jeg, Case, and Mack; a daughter – Destinee Powers; her youngest son – Bruce Powers, Jr and his daughter – Emma; 2 sisters – Jean (Gary) Johnson, Judy (Mike) Kuhn; 4 brothers – Ronnie Burnett, Sam (Trina) Burnett, Charles (Annette) Burnett and Jerry (Kelli) Burnett.

She was preceded in death by a brother – Terry Burnett.

A celebration of her life will begin 2:30 p.m., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at her son and daughter-in-law’s home, Joshua and Emily, 240 East Silver Street, Wapakoneta, Ohio.

My Beautiful Aunt Jo. I remember when I was just 5 yrs old and you would come to Grandma and Grandpas, I would get so excited and even up thru the years, I would always want to go anywhere you would take me. I know you and Dad are hand in hand right now. Yall shared a bond that is unforgettable. Until we meet again. I love you.
