Barry Lynn Rose, Sr., age 60 of Lima, passed at 6:28 p.m., Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Lima Memorial Health Care Systems. He was born January 18, 1963 in Huntington, Indiana to the late Carl Wilhelm and Ginger Oliver Rose. He been married to Candy Sue Vulgamott, who passed September 14, 2019.
Barry had worked at MediKote. He collected knives and guns. He loved being outdoors, fishing, camping, listening to music and drinking beer. His great joy was his grandchildren and spending time with them.
He is survived by a daughter – Glenna (John) Rose of Coldwater; 2 sons – Barry L. Rose, Jr. of Lima; James Michael Rose; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 brothers – Carl (Barb) Rose of Lima; Travis (Jamie) Rose of Lima; James Lundy of Lima; 2 sisters – Donna Diehl of Lima; Sonya (Bill) Irvin of Cridersville; 2 half sisters – Heather Arguta of Indiana and Christina Sierk of Indiana.
He was preceded in death by 2 grandchildren – Donta and JaVonta Rose, who passed on April 26, 2006; a brother – Todd Lundy and a sister – Trenna Goedde.
