Bernadine “Skip” Rumbaugh, age 78, of Cridersville passed away 1:53 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 at Lima Memorial Health Systems emergency room. She was born July 12, 1940 in Lima to the late Bernard F. and Alice Z. Watt Miller. She married Gary L. Rumbaugh June 5, 1960 and he survives in Cridersville.
Skip had been a self-employed Avon Lady and had retired from the Cridersville Public Library. She graduated from Lafayette High School where she had been a majorette. She enjoyed camping, fishing, playing games and taking pictures of all the family gatherings. Skip loved to support her children by being a member of the PTO, a girl scout leader and attending all their sporting events. She had bowled in leagues at Northland for more than 40 years. She also would make crafts and sell them at local shows.
Additional survivors include a son Greg (Kerry) Rumbaugh of Lima and their children: Stephanie M. (Scott) Rumbaugh daughter Chloe, Kayla M. Rumbaugh and Kyle John Alan Rumbaugh; a daughter Angie A. Rumbaugh of Cridersville and daughters: Briana and Ciera Rumbaugh; son-in-law Kevin Longsworth of Cridersville, sister-in-law Avonelle McMath of Lima and 2 nieces: Heidi McMath and Tonya (Bruce) Patterson.
The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m., Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Casey Ann Irwin officiating and burial will follow in Ward Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville United Methodist Church
