Betty Jane (Frazier) Musser Pettit age 99, of Ottawa passed away 9:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 22 at The Meadows of Ottawa. She was born Sept. 13, 1919 in Cridersville to the late Dallas and Mamie Crider Frazier. She married Russell ‘Bud’ Musser and he preceded her in death after 50 years of marriage. She later married Norman R. ‘Skip’ Pettit and he preceded her in death in 2009.
Betty attended Trinity United Methodist Church in Ottawa. She was a member of the Navy Auxiliary and had served as the National Commandant and was a 75year member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include two sons: Barry Lee Musser of Haines City, Florida and Brice Russell (Carolyn) Musser of Ottawa, a granddaughter Tovia Lynn Musser, stepson: Roy ‘Rocky’ (Donna) Pettit of West Virginia, a step daughter Joan Saulnier of New Hampshire and a sister-in-law Ruth Frazier.
Betty was preceded in death by four brothers: Donald, Richard, Paul and Maurice Frazier.
The family will receive friends 6 -7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 28th at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The memorial service will follow at 7 with Pastor Katie Hayes officiating. Burial will be at a later date in St. Matthew Cemetery Cridersville.
Memorial contributions may be given to Putnam County Council on Aging or to Trinity United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
