Beverly C. Johnson, age 71 of Lima, passed peacefully at 5:38 a.m.,
Thursday, October 21, 2021 at her residence with her husband by her
side. She was born November 23, 1949 in Columbus, Ohio to the late
Henry R. Parker and Ruby Mell Parker Delong. On June 2, 1984 she
married Cash D. Johnson who survives.
Mrs. Johnson had worked for over 40 years at Lima Convalescent Home.
She loved to travel and check out garage sales. Her biggest joy was
her family. She treasured moments with them playing Kings on the
Corner, board games, and creating meals for them. She will be
remembered for her big heart, doing God’s work, being a devoted wife,
loving mom, and a doting grandmother.
Survivors also include 2 sons – Brian (Brenda) Neal of Lima; Michael
‘Mike’ Neal, II of Lima; a daughter – Jaime Johnson of Bowling Green,
Ohio; 6 grandchildren – Justin, Jared, Brandon, Aaron, Brayden, and
Taryn; 2 brothers – Keith (Margaret) Parker of Lima and Kenny
(Valerie) DeLong of Lima.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers – David DeLong and Mark
DeLong; an infant sister – Rhonda; and her step father who helped
raise her – Archie DeLong.
Funeral services will begin 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 23, 2021 at
Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Pastor Scott Dove will
officiate.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday
at the funeral home.
