Bruce Allen Lynch, age 86 of Findlay and formerly of Uniopolis, passed at 5:06 a.m., Monday, August 15, 2022 at Bridge Hospice of Findlay. He was born February 8, 1936 in Tiffin, Ohio to the late Bruce and Jessie Barlekamp Lynch. On June 18, 1961, he married the love of his life, Marilyn Sue Brant, who passed on September 18, 2018.
Bruce graduated from Old Fort High School in Old Fort, Ohio. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Army from 1954 – 1962 and was a Russian Interpreter. He retired in 1994 from General Dynamics working in accounting, property administration and the budget. While at General Dynamics he enjoyed being Santa Claus during the Christmas season. He was a member of the Redmen Club in Fostoria, past president of the Fostoria PTA and Jaycees. He had a passion for teaching and working with special need children. He will be remembered for his huge heart, always wanting to learn something new, and his love for his family.
He is survived by 2 sons – Nathan (Kelly) Lynch of New Riegel, Ohio; Paul Lynch of Lima; a daughter – Cheryl (Kevin) Mitchell of Marysville, Ohio; 6 grandchildren – Shaun (Jessica) Lynch, Jared Mitchell, Jenna (Julia) Mitchell, Lindsey (Scott) Morrison, Steven (Stephanie) Lynch, and Lillian Lynch; 9 great grandchildren – Chloe, Addison, Avery, Harper, Beckett, Levi, Elliann, Edison, and Daysalin; a sister –Margaret Fuston of Covington, KY.
He was preceded in death by 2 brothers – Arthur Lynch and Wayne Lynch; 4 sisters – Anna Warner, Betty Feasel, Patricia Charleston, and Eunice Acker.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will begin 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Jonathon Spyker and Rev. Pam Spencer will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery, near Uniopolis where military rites will be observed.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 19, 2022 at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cridersville Church of the Nazarene.
