Carol Louise Moran 75, of Lima, Ohio passed away peacefully at 3:18 p.m. on Tuesday February 15th 2022 at Saint Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio surrounded by her beloved family.
She was born December 19, 1946 in Lima, the daughter of the late Robert and Freda (Herold) Hardesty.
She is survived by her loving husband, Willard Moran of Lima, Ohio and her adoring children: Allison (Kurt) Eversman of St. Marys, Ohio, Matthew Moran of Kent, Ohio and Christina (Ryan) Hardeman of Lima, Ohio.
She is survived by her grandchildren: Hanna Felver of St. Marys, Ohio, Haley Fever of St. Mary’s Ohio, Grant Hardeman of Lima Ohio and Charlie Hardeman of Lima Ohio. She is also survived by her brother, Steve (Rita) Hardesty of Lima, Ohio.
Carol graduated from Shawnee High School in 1965, and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from OSU Lima in 1969. She was a third grade elementary teacher for three years at Shawnee Maplewood School in Lima, Ohio. Carol was the secretary and scheduler for Northwest Ohio Water, then later retired from Peacock Water in 2020.
Carol loved spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren. Carol was a fantastic cook and also enjoyed fishing, traveling to Gatlinburg, Tennessee and crafting with her lady’s craft club. Carol will most be remembered by her generosity and extreme love for her family as well as the joy and special touch she added to each holiday.
A private viewing for close friends and family will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, February 18, 2022. A Celebration of Life/ funeral will be held on Saturday, February 19th at 10:30 A.M. at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, 311 W. Main St., Cridersville, Ohio where Pastor Tim Benjamin will be officiating. Burial will follow at Saint Matthew Cemetery in Lima, Ohio where Carol will be laid to rest beside her mother and father.

Will and family: So sorry to her of Carol’s passing. I remember our first Canadian fishing trip when we were young ones and she kinda out fished us. May the Lord be with you and your family.
I remember Carol from her working for several years at Peacock Water. She was kind, helpful and upbeat and we always ended up talking about my years at ONU where I was a professor and mentor to her talented son Matt, a member of the ONU Jazz Band. Her family has my deepest condolences and heartfelt prayers 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Carol, I Will always remember the fun times we had together. The boating and fishing trip to Michigan, the casino trips, the many holidays we spent together , and so many more great events we got to share together. I am glad I got the pleasure of knowing you . You will truly be missed. You are truly one in a million. My thoughts and prayers are with your loved ones during this difficult time.

Carol, I will forever have good memories of Craft Club and seeing what delicious food you brought in your crock pot. Also watching our kids at SHS and all the events they shared. You will live on through your beautiful family and I’m glad your pain is gone. Until we meet again……. Linda Parish
