Carol Rosalie ‘Rose’ Baker, age 76 of Wapakoneta, went home to be with the Lord, August 10, 2015. She was born September 10, 1938 in Lima, Ohio to the late Leroy and Olga Jean Eley Hunlock.
Rose was a homemaker and had worked as a cashier at the Lima Bargain Center. She loved her Lord and Savior, and every morning about 10 she would have Bible study with Larry and Debb over the phone. Her family was the center of her life and brought much joy to her. She was a Elvis enthusiast; and her hobbies included taking pictures, watching NASCAR and her favorite driver Jimmy Johnson! She will be remembered for her kind and loving nature.
She is survived by a daughter – Debora A. (Larry A.) Ward of Lima; 2 grandchildren – Jamie Marie (Rick) Hendrickson of Wapakoneta and James Isaiah Wilcox of Cridersville; 2 great grandchildren – Gavin and Gage; 2 brothers – Howard L. (Joy) Hunlock of Florida; Jeff (Thelma) Hunlock of Wapakoneta; a daughter-in-law – Connie (Rob) Miller of Cridersville; several nieces and nephews; her 2 little buddies – Sugar Baby and Jake; and her extended family at the Bargain Center and Meadowbrook.
She was preceded in death by a son – James Anthony ‘Tony’ Wilcox, and a granddaughter – Crystal Wilcox.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at Meadowbrook Baptist Church, 2101 West Breese Road, Lima. Pastor Shawn Hurley will officiate. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 14, at Meadowbrook Baptist Church and one hour prior to services Saturday.
