Carolyn Burden Corey, age 71 of Lima, died at 6:40 a.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born September 5, 1945 in Lima, Ohio to the late Clifford John and Violet A. McPheron Burden. On November 28, 1964 she married John A. Corey who survives in Lima.
Mrs. Corey was a homemaker and attended Marion Baptist Church. She enjoyed teaching quilting and listening classical music.
Survivors also include a daughter – Julie (Christopher) Liechty of Lima; grandchildren – Lief Aaron Liechty, Noah Christopher Liechty, Magellan Skye Liechty, Brock Tristan Liechty, and Alex E. McCourtie.
She was preceded in death by a sister – Joanne Holten.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
