Obituary

Charlene A. Butterfield age 87, of Cridersville passed away peacefully at 6:35 p.m., Saturday, October 2, 2021 at Cridersville Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 19, 1934 in Cridersville to the late Fred and Lola (Thompson) Beery. She married Harry Robert Butterfield Dec. 31, 1953 and he preceded her in death Oct. 8, 2006.
Charlene was a homemaker, she enjoyed going to garage sales and loved her animals.
Survivors include 2 sons: Harry Randall (Carol) Butterfield of Hopkinsville, KY and Robert Scott (Pat) Butterfield of Cridersville, 2 grandchildren: Bruce (Stacey) Maley of Clarksville, TN and Rebecca (Michael) Schardein of Prospect, KY, 5 great grandchildren Mackenzie, Tayler, Katelynn, Malerie and Andrew and a sister Joan Gossard of Wapakoneta.
The family will receive friends noon to 2 on Tuesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will follow at 2 with Rev. Russ Thomas officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Cridersville.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Auglaize County Humane Society.
