Charles R. Gipson, age 78, of Lima passed away 6:35 p.m., Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1940 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Jeff and Nan Harmon Gipson. He married Brenda ‘Susie’ Gipson who survives in Lima.
Charles worked for the Rail Road and Standard Oil. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, card games and junking. He loved his animals and a house full of friends and family.
Additional survivors include children: Dwayne (Margaret) Gipson of Lima, Ohio, Erma (Elliott) Gipson of Kentucky, Diane Robertson (Tommy) of Toledo, Ohio, Dougie Gipson (Monica); a special granddaughter Kalia Jones (Josh); Step-Children: Ida, Julie and Ofield; 18 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; Siblings: Earn Gipson of Lima, Steve Gipson of Kansas, Gabe Gipson of Michigan.
Preceded in death by two grandsons: Bubby Gipson and Robby Smith; siblings: Blackie Gipson, Bill Gipson, Whitie Gipson, Warrick Gipson, Annie Morlock, Erma Perkins, Irene Monntag and Mary Bailey.
The family will receive friends 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2018.
