Charlotte D. Nagy, age 72 of Lima, died at 3:15 p.m., November 18, 2012 at her residence after a long bout with A.L.S. She was born February 11, 1940 in Johnstown, PA to the late Herbert and Dorothy Crum Pelkey. On March 2, 1957 she married Joseph S. Nagy who survives.
She held a master’s degree in special education. She received her teaching degree at OSU and her masters from B.G.S.U. She was a loved teacher at Allen East, Emerson Elementary, Whittier School, South Junior High and retired from Lima Senior High School.
She enjoyed her many trips home to the beautiful state of Pennsylvania and spending time with her family. She enjoyed creating things with her hands.
She loved the Lord and was a member of the Westside United Methodist Church and attended services at South Side Christian Church.
Survivors include a son – Joseph S. ‘Bud’ (Cheryl) Nagy of Lima; a daughter – Roberta Lee ‘Bobbe’ (Ronald) Farmer of Lima; 2 granddaughters – Cassandra ‘Sandy’ Nagy and Kimberly ‘Kim’ Nagy; a grandson – Ronald Farmer; a great grandson – Collin Blatz; a brother – Herbert (Kathy) Pelkey of Salix, PA; 1 sister – Amelia Ray (Robert) McMinn of Somerset, PA; an uncle – Telford Pelkey of Johnstown, PA.
She was preceded in death by a brother – Robert Pelkey.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
