Cheryl L. Bowersock, age 63 of Lima, passed at 6:23 a.m., Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Lima Memorial Health Care. She was born September 1, 1958 in Lima, Ohio to the late William and Mary Audrey Chaney Brown. On September 11, 1976 she married Robin L. Bowersock, who survives.

Cheryl was a homemaker and a member of the Celebration Church where she loved to volunteer. Early in life she begain her appreciation for old movies, watching them with her father. Cheryl treasured the adventures with her husband traveling to Tennessee. They would admire the mountains and discover old roadways. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, playing games, and just enjoying life. She will be remembered for her strong faith and the special bond she shared with her family.

Also surviving are her children – Christy (Nick) Taylor of Lima; Shelley (Mike) Pence of Waynesfield; Melissa Bowersock of Lima; Robby (Mercediez) Bowersock of Lima; 10 grandchildren – Andrew; Kurtis; Jacob; Zach; Audrey; Haley; Christian; Ayden; Ayva; and Addy; 4 brothers – Bill (Kathleen) Brown of Lima; Ralph Brown of Wapakoneta; Greg Brown of Lima; Donald (Tammy) Brown of Cairo; a sister – Donna (Tim) Martin of Lima; a mother-in-law – Joan Bowersock of Lima; and 2 brother-in-laws – Greg Bowersock of Lima and Jeff (Brenda) Bowersock of Lima.

She was preceded in death by a brother – David Brown; a sister – Cecilia Conaway; a father-in-law – Richard Bowersock; and a brother-in-law – Rick Bowersock.

A celebration of Cheryl’s life will begin 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Rev. Brandon Green will officiate. Burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
