Claudia P. Brewer, age 70 of Sidney and formerly of St. Marys, died at 10:25 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the Pavilion of Sidney. She was born August 3, 1946 in Lima, Ohio to the late Eugene Karl and Pauline Growdon Kruse. On June 8, 1970 she married Ben E. Brewer who died January 20, 2004.

She retired from Copeland Corporation. Her family was the joy of her life along with her dog Daisy. She loved the Beach Boys, gardening, cook-outs, and long days sitting on her porch relaxing and talking with neighbors. Claudia’s heart was as beautiful as her name. She will be deeply missed.

Survivors include 3 daughters – Lola (Logan) Fair of Sidney; Billie ( John Doyle) Brewer of Sidney; Beth (Tyson) Houts of Sidney; 2 step-sons – Roger (Elaine) Brewer of Missouri; Don Brewer of Highland Park, Michigan; 12 grandchildren – Nichole Patterson, Bobbi Redding, Kailyn Brewer, Kane Powell, Luke and Emma Dahlinghaus, Grant and Lainie Fair, Noah, Nylah, and Norah Houts, and Aevah Davis; a sister – Martha (Art Kohli, deceased) Smiley of Freyburg; 2 brothers – Ronald Kruse of Idaho and Henry (Maxine) Kruse of Cowgill, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by a brother – Samuel Kruse and a sister – Bonita (Mike) Willeke.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
