Clyde L. Sellers age 93, of Lima died 5:15 p.m., Saturday July 26 at Lima Convalescent Home. He was born May 30, 1921 to the late Grover C. ‘Buzz’ and Addie Myrtle Sellers. He married Dorothy Dell Huffers April 13, 1941 and she preceded him in death June 25, 2003.
Mr. Sellers retired from Standard Oil in 1983 where he had been a part of the Maintenance Department.
He had served in the U. S. Army during WW II and was a member of VFW Post 1275 and American Legion Post 96.
Survivors include 2 sons: Steven L. (Earlene) Sellers of Columbus Grove and Larry D. (Valerie) Sellers of Lima, 3 grandchildren: Tammy (Bill) Spallinger, Keith (Sarah) Sellers and Adam (Chantal) Sellers and a great granddaughter Olivia Spallinger.
He was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Glenn, Paul, Grover Jr. and Charles Sellers and a sister Emma M. Sellers.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday July 29 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral service will begin 10:30 a.m., Wednesday July 30 at the funeral home with Rev. Gary Coleman officiating. Memorial contributions may be given to The DAV.
