Constance Sue Mortimer, age 73 of Lima, passed at 12:08 p.m., Tuesday,
January 25, 2022 at St. Rita’s Mercy Health. She was born March 24,
1948 in Lima, Ohio to the late Donald R. and Helen J. Wolfe Carolus.
Connie was a graduate of Perry High School. She worked 25 years with Westinghouse/Sundstrand Corporation and then went to work at Honda for 9 years before retiring. After retirement she worked as a nanny caring for many families children and also a caretaker for elderly friends. She was a member of the Rousculp Church of Christ and truly believed God was always in control. She was an avid animal lover spending as much time as possible with her pets. She will be remembered for her huge heart and
never meeting a two or four legged stranger. Connie was a beloved Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother and her family
was her pride and joy. She loved riding horses, camping, being outside, traveling the states visiting family and friends
and playing with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and has left a missing piece
that will never be replaced.
Survivors include a son Wesley A. (Brenda L.) Mortimer, Jr of Waynesfield;
a daughter – Tonya L. (fiancée Jack Oyster) Green of Butler, Ohio;
5 grandchildren – Michael (Tyler) Green; Miranda Green; Connor (Logan) Mortimer; Mariah (Vernon) Tharp; Morgan (Cedrick) Murray;
10 great grandchildren – Layla, Roslynn, Izzy, Hallee, Remington, Hoyt, Renlee, Lettie, Oaklyn, Beckett;
1 brother – Jeff (Ann) Carolus of Lima; 3 sisters –Sheran (James) Wibright of CA; Deb (Larry) Sidener of Cridersville; Jan (Darrell) Campbell of Lima; several nieces and nephews; and her dearly loved horses – Stoney,
Frosty, and Monty.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law – Gary Green and 2 beloved
horses – Mandy and Mark.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
