Dannie J. Binkley age 85, of Cridersville passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at 9:13 p.m. at St. Rita’s Emergency Room.  He was born Sept. 13, 1938, in Lima to the late Amos Edward and Opal F. (Sterling) Binkley.  He married Coleen S. Gudakunst June 30, 1963, and she survives in Cridersville.  They celebrated 60 wonderful years together June 30, 2023.

Dan was a graduate of Lima Senior High and then entered the United States Marine Corp to proudly serve his country.  He was a longtime employee of Teledyne Ohio Steel for 40 years and lived out his passion for farming and restoring old cars.  He was a member of the First Church of God his whole life and served as a trustee for many years.  He enjoyed a simple life of God, family and working hard.

He is also survived by his 3 children:  Kris Binkley of Lima, Mark (Coral) Binkley of Lima and Karen (Jame) Spyker of Harrod; grandchildren:  Audrey Binkley, Nathan (Melanie) Binkley, Charlie Spyker, Tommy Spyker, Joey Spyker and JJ Spyker.  He is also survived by his sister Marilyn Thomas of Toledo and sisters-in-law Mary Ruth (Carl) Wagner of Ada, Phyllis Lytle, Fern Cowan and brother-in-law Donny (Linda) Gudakunst all of Lima.

He was welcomed by the loving arms of Jesus and his parents and his brothers:  Howard, Harold, Donald, Roger and sisters:  Phyllis and Helen.

The family will receive friends 11:30- to 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 15 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.  The funeral will follow at 1:30 with Pastor Jason Hinkle officiating and burial in St. Matthew Cemetery near Cridersville.
