Danny Engle

Danny Engle age 68 of Cridersville went to the arms of Jesus surrounded by his family Wed. Sept. 9, 2015 in Columbus, OH. He was born Jan. 18, 1947 in Lima to the late Orville Meritt and Catherine Lucille Nolan. He married Jenis E. Moyler June 20, 1965 and she survives in Cridersville.

‘River Dan’ was an avid fisherman and hunter. He belonged to Wapak Community Worship Center and had worked out of the Local Union 224, Dayton. He loved his grandkids and spending time with his family. His loved extended to more than a hundred fifty five foster children over 16 years. He was known for giving the weather report and listening to Christian music. He was a 1965 graduate of Bath High School.

Additional survivors include children Daniel B. (Christine) Engle of Wapak, Jason, E. (Linda) Engle of Waynesfield and Tina M. (Shane) Burden of Shawnee, 12 grandchildren: Matthew S. Engle, Tyler R. (Nathalie) Engle, Megan N. Engle, Taylor M. ‘Rosebud’ Engle, Austin A. Burden, Alexis E. Burden, Kristin (Brian) Stalder, Amanda L. (Allen) Poe, Lauren E. Hale, Kelly T. Engle, Kayla L. Engle and Kera R. Engle, 2 great grandchildren: Adin J. Poe and Amelie I. Engle and a brother: Michael M. (Jane) Engle of Wapak.

He was preceded in death by a brother Patrick Engle and a sister Kristina Roetgerman.

Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday Sept. 14 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Hall officiating. Entombment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, Lima.
