David L. Ryan, age 80 of Lima, passed at 4:37 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2022 in Bellefontaine. He was born November 21, 1941 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Leonard and Florence Hild Ryan. On February 14, 1970 he married Judy Hardin who passed February 14, 2021.

Mr. Ryan retired from Superior Metal and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church. He was a U. S. Army Veteran and a member of the V.F.W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta.

He is survived by 2 sons – Keith (Dawn) Ryan of Bellefontaine and Greg Ryan of Las Vegas; 2 grandchildren – Michaela and Drew Ryan; a sister – Linda (Charles) Baldeck of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by a son – Andrew Ryan and a sister – Susan Taylor.

Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Rev. Samuel Payne will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Matthew Cemetery. Military rites will be observed by V.F.W. Post 8445 of Wapakoneta.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 10, 2022 at the church.
