David Lee Brown, age 74 of Waynesfield, died at 11:54 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence. He was born April 16, 1943. He married Kathleen Ann Unger who died August 6, 2016. He had previously married Joan Pyles Jacobs who survives in Marion, OH.
Mr. Brown was a painter with General Dynamics, retired from Plastipak, and had also worked at Clark Equipment Company, Sheller Globe, and Mid Bus. He had been a medic in the U.S. Army and later joined the National Guard. He was a member of the Waynesfield United Methodist Church. His hobbies included working with wood, riding his Harley, camping and fishing. He loved all animals and dearly loved his family.
He leaves behind 2 sons- Chris Brown (Amy Page) of Waynesfield; Lawrence W. ‘Bud’ (Karen) Brown of Marion; 6 daughters – Robyn (Patrick) Blosser of Marysville; Heidi Briggs of Elida; Chris (Jeff Wickstrom) Good of Mesa, AZ; Rebecca (Jerry) Vaught of Marion; Amanda Phillips of Marion; Louisa ‘LouAnn’ (Lawrence) Elchert of Marion; 9 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and a sister – Sue Pyles of Wapakoneta.
He was preceded in death by a son – John H. Brown who died in 1989.
Memorial services will begin 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. Military rites will be observed.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
