David was a genuine man of God with such a warm and gentle spirit. I always enjoyed sharing and listening to him. He was always encouraging to everyone he knew. I will miss him greatly. May God strengthen and encourage Cherie and family.

I remember David coming to my apartment asking for me to type his papers in college! The last time I saw him, I teased him that he still owed me a car wash! He will be sorely missed; his strong faith in God is truly a legacy he lives behind to all of us who knew him.
