David R. Unger, age 66 of Lima, died 7:02 a.m., Saturday Aug. 16 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Jan. 24, 1948 to the late Richard and Florence Unger. He was formerly married to Lesta Wortman and she survives in Lima.
Mr. Unger was the former owner of Unger’s Chair Rental and was a member of First Evangelical and Reformed Church of Lima. He had served in the U.S. Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He loved to fish on Lake Erie and to Scuba dive at Long Lake. He did his best to keep his kids happy.
Survivors include children David Rodney Unger of Perrysburg, Angela McDonald and Syrena (Jeremy) Priddy both of Lima, 8 grandchildren: Ali, Blake and Jenna Priddy, Cadence Unger, Keagan, Kearah, Kane and Kasen McDonald and numerous siblings.
The family will receive friends 4-6 p.m. Monday Aug. 18 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will follow at 6 with Rev. Ed Rinehart officiating and Military rites will be provided by VFW Post 1275.
Memorial contributions may be given to Bayliff & Son to help with the funeral services.
