Dennis L. Black, age 63, of Wapak, died 9:45 a.m. Friday Feb. 25 at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was born Feb. 20, 1948 in Celina, OH to Charles S. and Elizabeth R. Noack Black. Both parents are deceased.
Survivors include a daughter: Jennifer (Tim) Kirchhofer of Wapak, a grandson Connor Kirchhofer, a brother: Bob (Charlotte) Black of Lima, 3 sisters: Betty (Dan) Sharp of Kenton, Karen (Dick) Burden of Ft. Myers, FL and Vicki (Donald) Schipper Botkins, a former wife and friend Linda M. Black and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Black had been a millwright and maintenance man for Cooper Tire, Teledyne Ohio Steel and the Wapak Truck Stop. He was a member of the Wapak Eagles 691, Indian Lake Moose 1533, social member of Am Vets Wapak, V. F. W. Post in Wapak and Spencerville, American Legion Post Wapak and Brands Fishing Club. He loved to fish and hunt.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Monday and 11:00 until 1:30 Tuesday at Bayliff and Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will begin at 1:30 Tuesday with Rev. Dottie Kiser officiating and burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery near St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Assoc. or to the family.
