Dona L. Fisher, age 74 of Ada, died at 3:36 p.m., Saturday, June 23, 2018 at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born August 6, 1943 in Lima, Ohio; to the late Herbert Andrew and Hazel Pearl Mann McVicker, Sr. She married Robert Lee Fisher, Sr. who preceded her in death.


Mrs. Fisher was a had worked as a production supervisor at Marimor. She loved playing BINGO and cards, enjoyed cooking, and watching QVC.


Survivors include a daughter – Amy K. (Allen) Omlor of Waynesfield; a son – Robert Lee (Shanda) Fisher, Jr. of Ada; 3 grandchildren – R. J. (Chelsy)Waughtel of Ada; Jessica Waughtel of MI; Trey (Kendra) Fisher of Lima; a great grandson – Trace Waughtel and another due in September – Weston Fisher; a brother – Herbert (Nancy) McVicker, Jr. of Lima; 4 sisters – Shirley McVicker of Lima; Carol Bishop of Lima; Dona’s twin – Dana Roose of MO; and Judi Hanthorn of Lima.


She was preceded in death by a sister – Marta McVicker.


A gathering to celebrate her life will be Monday, July 23 at the Salvation Army 614 East Market Street, Lima from 5 to 8.


Arrangements are by Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.

I knew Dona very well as her twin (Dana is my sister in law}. I remember that no matter how she felt she had a smile for everyone. She loved to cook and was very good at it. I know she will be loved and missed by all that knew her.
