Donald A. Goedde

Donald A. Goedde age 87, of Lima Ohio, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 at St.Rita’s Medical Center. He was born Jan. 9, 1936 in Lima to the late Alvin Urban and Rose A. (Fair)
Goedde. He married Patricia Halker on May 5, 1962 and she survives in Lima.
Don graduated from Lima St. Johns Catholic High School in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army, then returned to Lima to work at Superior Coaches/Accubuilt and retired after 60 years. He was a member of Indian Lake Moose, Eagles 370 and American Legion Post 96. He loved his family, the Buckeyes, and Detroit Tigers. He also enjoyed golfing and bird watching.
Additional survivors include daughters: Kimberlee (Matt) Wirth of Westerville, Angela (Greg) Ratliff of Sunbury and Suzanne (Jules O’Connor) Goedde of Dayton;
3 grandchildren: Bryan (Danielle) Ratliff, Brea (John) DeVault and Ashley Ratliff; 4
great grandchildren: Josh Rader, Anna Leino, Mason Ratliff and Mya Ratliff; and 2 sisters: Ann (Gene) O’Neil of Brooklyn, MI and Rita Palmer of Vermillion.
He was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth Nowak.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home in Cridersville, Ohio. Inurnment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.
