Earl A. Reynolds, age 86, of Lima, Ohio, died at 12:05 p.m., March 28, 2013 at his residence. He was born December 14, 1926 in Spencerville, Ohio to Charles R. and Gladys M. (Post) Reynolds, who preceded him in death. He married Hope E. Doepker Craig on April 4, 1998 who survives in Lima, Ohio.
Mr. Reynolds was a graduate of Waynesfield High School and had been a pipefitter at Sheller-Globe and Superior Coaches. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was a member of V.F.W. Post 1275, member of Zion Lutheran Church and Westside Swim & Racquet Club.
He was the president of the board of directors of The Carlton House and was the manager of The Carlton House.
Additional survivors include a son Dan P. Reynolds of Lima, Ohio, two daughters Janet L. Campbell of Lima, Ohio and Judy L. (Richard) Smales of Jasper, Florida, a step-daughter Heather L. (Douglas) Bell of Lima, Ohio, a brother Walter E. Reynolds of Atlanta, Georgia, six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his 1st wife of 50 years Fanny Catherine ‘Kate’ Wita Reynolds, a step-son Steven E. Craig, a brother David B. Reynolds and a sister Clara I. Omler.
Memorial services will begin 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Kent Wilson officiating.
