Edna May Stippich age 92, of Cridersville passed away 5:00 a.m., Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Otterbein Assisted Living Cridersville. She was born Nov. 11, 1929, in Peoria, IL to the late George and Bertha (Pye) Getz, Sr. She married Paul J. Stippich June 3, 1967, and he preceded her in death September 5, 2020.
Edna had retired from the cafeteria at Perry High School. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and time spent with her grandchildren.
Survivors include children: Terry Carpenter of Osh Kosh, WI, Barb Hunt of St. Maryโs, Bob Compton of Peoria, IL, Paul (Rose) Stippich of Lima and Susan (Brian) Caris of Lima; 20 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren and 21 great great grandchildren and brothers Ronnie Getz of Ft. Myers, FL and Chester (Ellen) Getz of Peoria, IL.
She was preceded in death by brothers George, Jr., Jim, Dick, and Bob Getz.
The family will receive friends Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 11:30 to 12:30 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral service will follow at 12:30 with Father David Ross officiating and entombment will be in Gethsemani Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to Otterbein Assisted Living, Cridersville; Putnam County Hospice; N F Midwest or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Such a beautiful, funny, loving lady. I owe her so much for giving me my very best friend in the world, Susan Stippich-Caris. I'd go to family functions and Edna and I would sit together and just chat and laugh! She was always dressed to the nines and looked beautiful!! I'm going to miss her. Thank you Edna for giving me one of the kindest, most beautiful people inside and out as my best friend. Rest in peace beautiful lady! You deserve it! ๐
