Edward “Ed” Thomas Donley age 64, of Lima died 2:40 p.m. Monday at his residence. He was born August 29, 1950 in Wheeling, West Virginia to Elwood Edward and Mildred Brown Donley, his father is deceased and his mother resides in St. Clairsville, OH. He married Patricia “Pattie” Irwin November 27, 1971 and she survives in Lima.
Edward had been a fork lift operator for General Dynamics where he worked for 35 years. He was a member of the U.A.W. Local and N.R.A. He loved woodworking, fishing, camping and gardening. He also loved playing with his grandchildren and his dog Michael. Edward had a wicked sense of humor which he shared with everybody.
Additional survivors include 2 children: Edward J. Donley of Lima and Lawrie (John) Warner of Lima, 2 grandchildren: Madeline and Grayson Warner and 1 brother Scott Donley of St. Clairsville, OH, 3 sisters Paula (Joe) Planey of St. Clairsville, OH, Tamra (Dean) Baker of St. Clairsville, OH and Wendy (Bob) Gary of St. Clairsville, OH, 2 brother-in-laws Gordon Irwin of Shadyside, OH and Larry (Rita) Irwin of Chambersburg, PA, 1 sister-in-law Cathy (Bernie) Good.
