Edward (ED) V. McCracken, age 87 of Ada and formerly of Bellefontaine passed away Saturday January 8, 2022 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. Ed was born in Belle Center OH on May 12, 1934, to the late Robert R. and Ruth L. (Hottensmith) McCracken.
He was preceded in death by brothers: Robert (Bob) and Pete McCracken. Ed is survived by his wife Saundra (Pinks) McCracken, daughter: Teresa (McCracken) Lazza, step-children: Chad (Darcy) Goodin and Melissa Goodin, grandchildren: Kelli (Dennis) Stevenson, Brandon (Ashlie) Goddin, Troy, Kyle and Gracelyn Goodin, Alex Satterfield and Mia Garret, great grandchildren: Draden, Dawson and Delaney Stevenson, sister: Jane (McCracken) Wade of Clearwater FL, and many nieces and nephews.
Ed was a Veteran of the US Navy as an Aviation Metalsmith. He was a subcontractor for Notestines in Bellefontaine for many years and retired from Siemens in Urbana. Ed was a simple man and never wanted anyone to do anything for him. He was always doing something for someone else. He was a (Man of steel) and tough as nails! He loved watching old western movies and when his family would come to visit.

He was always good to me and my children and it was cute Gracelyn would call him "head" instead of Ed I'm sure she will miss cooking him play food .
