ELAINE COY, age 70, of Westminster went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 1:21 a.m. Saturday June first at home. She was born Jan 4, 1943 in Lima to Charles Raymond and Lucille Stimmel Coolidge. She married the love of her life July 15, 1961 and they shared over 52 years together.
Elaine was a loving and very caring wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She and Ronnie took care of 53 foster children over the years. She was always there with a smile and a helping hand to those who were in need, no matter what she had she would give it. She played organ and piano at Westminster United Methodist Church where she was a life time member. Ronnie & Elaine along with their son Arnold and 2 other member of their church sang in the Light House Quartet. They would perform at various churches and nursing homes. She was a member of the Harrod CCL and retired from Allen East Schools as a bus driver. She was an AVON representative for many years.
She will be greatly missed by her children Arnold (Kathy) Coy of Waynesfield, Annette (Mark) Coysterling and Aaron Coy all of Westminster. She greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandson Levi Coy and is also survived by 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a sister Lorene (Bob) Whitaker. She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter Aubry Shobe.
A memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday June 8th at Westminster United Methodist Church with Rev. Dave Burkhart officiating and visitation an hour prior to services. Elaine is to be cremated and burial will be at a later time with her husband Ronnie.
Memorial contributions may be given to Westminster United Methodist Church Building Fund or to the Westminster Rescue Squad.
