Eldon D. Bowsher age 91, of Wapakoneta died 10:05 a.m., Friday at Wapakoneta Manor Nursing Home. He was born Oct. 23, 1922 in Lima to Pearl and Clara Marie Puschel Bowhser. He married Jean M. Naumburg June 11, 1945 and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Bowsher had been a clerk at Teledyne and had also been a carpenter and farmer. He was a member of Buckland United Church of Christ where he had held many offices. He was a member of the Auglaize County Farm Bureau and a former board member of the Buckland School District. He enjoyed fishing and being outdoors.
Additional survivors include a son Craig (Barbara) Bowsher of St. Mary’s, 2 daughters: Kathleen (David) Macwhinney of Celina, Patricia (Michael) Kohrn of Jackson,TN, son-in-law Randy Swink of The Villages, FL, 8 grandchildren: Kraig, Kim, Tamara, Todd, Heather, Brandon, Kelly and Bryan, 15 great grandchildren, a sister Alice Kellerman of Buckland and a sister-in-law Annabelle Bowsher of Wapak.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Lora Swink and a brother Robert Bowsher.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday Feb. 27 at the funeral home with Pastor Adrian Sunday officiating and burial will follow in Buckland Cemetery.
