Eleanor Sprague, age 97, of Cridersville, formerly of Lima and Ft. Myers, FL, died 9:45 a.m., Monday, Aug. 1, 2011 at Otterbein-Cridersville. She was born June 6, 1914 in Lima to Earl and Frances M. Baker Marshall, both parents are deceased. She married Floyd H. Sprague July 30, 1932 and he preceded her in death on March 4, 2002.
Mrs. Sprague had been a homemaker and a volunteer at Lima Memorial Health Systems. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and enjoyed spending time with friends and family, wintering in Ft. Myers, FL and playing golf. Special thanks to the caring staff of Otterbein-Cridersville at St. Rita’s Hospice.
Survivors include a son Larry E. Sprague of Lima, 2 grandchildren Jeff (Cyndi) Sprague of Bluffton and Jennifer (Kirk) Slusher of Lima and 5 great grandchildren: Wesley, Colin & Ryan Sprague and Cody & Nicole Slusher. She was preceded in death by a sister Eloyse Bouden.
A memorial service will begin 11:30 a.m. Friday Aug. 5 in the community room of Otterbein-Cridersville with Pastor Phyllis Fetzer officiating.
Memorial contribution may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Otterbein-Cridersville or St. Rita’s Hospice.
