Elois S. Chambers, 72, died 8:00 P.M. Friday, July 5, 2013 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1941, in Henry County, Ohio, To Loren A. and Doris Upell Copus. On November 7, 1959 she married Richard W. Chambers who survives in Cridersville.
Elois graduated from Liberty Center High School, Class of 1959. She served on Auglaize county Board of Elections, Retired Shawnee School Bus Driver and Jefferson County Schools. She volunteered at the Equestrian Therapy Program, was a Den Mother, and Member of the Elk’s Lodge 54 in Lima. Elois and her husband enjoyed hunting, and shooting in a trap league. She also enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening and spending time with Family, Grandchildren and Friends.
Mrs. Chambers possessed a Class- A-CDL license and was a lifetime member of the Owner Operator Independent Drivers’ Association. She and her husband operated their own trucking company as a team and had travelled to the lower 48 states together. She was proud of the fact that they hauled the NFL footballs for Wilson Sporting Goods for the past 13 years, and also did the Superbowl runs. This year Wilson awarded them tickets to the NFL Experience, Tailgate Party, and the Superbowl. They also attended the Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans. They enjoyed visiting Elk’s Lodges around the Country especially when doing the Superbowl runs.
She is survived by Wayne Chambers, Toledo, Shelly Diepenbrock, Lima, Cindy Terwilliger, Sidney. Grandchildren; Ryan (Tina) Diepenbrock, Greg (Trisha) Diepenbrock, Keith (Tasha) Chambers, Emily Diepenbrock. Great- Grandchildren; Meranda and Myleigh Chambers, Rylan and Vance Diepenbrock, Eli and Kali Coil, Shannan Copeland, Ronald, Eric and Nicole Terwilliger. Brother; Kenneth (Bev) Upell, Liberty Center.
She is preceded in death by a son-in-law, Ronald Terwilliger.
Friends may call Friday from 11- 1:00 p.m. at the Elk’s Lodge # 54, 302 West North Street Lima, Ohio 45801.
