Obituary

Elvest Glen Dickerson, 90, of Cridersville and formerly of Union, NJ and Spring Hill, FL, died 2:15 a.m., Monday Dec. 6 at Otterbein Cridersville. He was born Dec. 26, 1919 in Lowassie, MO to William and Bessie Magnes Dickerson, both parents are deceased. He married Martha Agnew Oct. 20, 1940 in Union, NJ. Mrs. Dickerson survives in Cridersville.
Additional survivors include 3 Sons: Glenn (Joyce) Dickerson of Lima, Jim (Carol) Dickerson of Palmer, AK and Bill (Cindy) Dickerson of Lima, a daughter: Pat (John) Rowe of Norton, KS, 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild, 3 brothers: Ted (Irene) Dickerson, of Bangor, PA, Bill and Alfred Dickerson both of Mountain View, MO, a sister: Naomi Hiebert of Manhattan, KS. He was preceded in death by 8 brothers and sisters.
The family will receive friends 5 – 7 p.m., Thursday Dec. 9 at Bayliff and Son funeral home, Cridersville and the funeral service will follow at 7 with Chaplain Dick Coon officiating, military rites will be provided by V. F. W. Post 8445.
Mr. Dickerson had been a construction superintendant for Local 1342, Essex County, NJ and he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He served in the U. S. Navy during WW II.
