Elvin B. “Bud” Feister, 89, of Wapakoneta died Sat. May 7, 2011 at his residence. He was born Feb. 7, 1922 in Alger to Elza and Lura Lucille McKill Feister. He married Selma Elaine Plummer Oct. 16, 1944 and she survives in Wapakoneta.
Mr. Feister was the owner of Feister and Son Construction Co. and served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He was a member of the Shekinah Temple, St. Marys. He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, dominos, shuffleboard and hunting mushrooms.
Survivors include a son: Jerry ‘Butch’ (Kay) Feister of Wapak; 3 daughters: Rev. Judy Ball of St. Marys, Cathy Mason of Cridersville, Sally (Doug) Ruen of Lima, 15 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter Carol Sue Flanagan, a brother Richard M. Feister, 2 sisters: Betty Jo McCartney and Dorothy D. Roberts, 3 sons-in-law: Tony Ball, Gene Mason and Larry Flanagan.
Funeral services will begin 11:00 a.m., Wed. May 11 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home Cridersville with Rev. Robert Warren officiating and burial will follow at Salem Cemetery, Westminster where military rites will be provided by Wapak V. F. W. Post 8445.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to Cridersville Fire & Rescue or Hospice, The Caring Way.
