Emily Elaine Miller age 33, of Cridersville passed away 9:15 p.m., Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. Rita’s Mercy Health. She was born June 29, 1988 in Lima to Richard C. and Elaine M. (Gibson) Miller of Cridersville. She had a longtime boyfriend of 8 years, Josh Morris.
Emily grew up in Cridersville loved dancing, playing softball and going to Reds games. She graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 2006 where she had been a band geek, also playing in the band in college. She was a member of Sigma Kappa Sorority and received her bachelors from Brown Mackie College, Findlay. Emily was hard working as a manager for CJ’s Pizza and had a gift to gab. She loved to vacation in the outer banks and spending time with her dogs Dezzi & Ariel. Emily lived for her daughter Ava.
Additional survivors include a daughter Ava Morris of Cridersville; sisters: Katherine (Justin) Shadley and Stacy (Austin) Mast both of Cridersville, a third “Sister” Tiffani Dawson of Lima; nephews: Elijah Shadley and Landon Mast; paternal grandparents: Joe & Donna Brossman of Cridersville and Bob Miller of Lake Wales, FL, maternal grandfather Aimel ‘Poppy’ Gibson of Wapakoneta; aunts and uncles: Angie (Kerry Kiefer) of Wapak, David Gibson of Wapak and Rollin (Christy) Brossman of Springfield and many cousins, great aunts and uncles.
She was preceded in death by maternal grandmother Vickie Gibson, maternal great grandparents: Louella & John Root, Ruth Sheets and Aimel Gibson, Sr.; paternal great grandparents: John & Lela Alliey and Delmar & Goldie “Grandma Banana” Symonds.
The family will receive friends Monday, Dec. 6 at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Father David Ross officiating. Private burial will be at a later date in St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. Memorial contributions may be given to Ch Ki Lo Food Pantry in Cridersville or Autism Society of Ohio.

I will always remember Emily as the little girl next door with the long, dark hair that I watched grow up into a kind hearted woman that always wore a smile on her face. I was blessed to call her more than a neighbor... She was my friend and she will be missed by the Smith family. We are all so sorry for your loss.
