Estelle I. Wooley age 96, of Buckland passed away 5:57 a.m., Sunday, July 31, 2022 at the Wapak Manor. She was born June 13, 1926 in Shelby County to the late George and Cora Mildred (Coverstone) Pulfer, Jr. She married Clyde E. Wooley in 1943 and he preceded her in death in 1983.
She was formerly married to Jack King.
Estelle started out her working career at the Jackson Center Phone Company as an operator and retired from Auglaize Acres as a LPN. She was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wapak and a former member of Grace Lutheran Church Jackson Center. She enjoyed embroidery, reading and spending time with family and friends.
Survivors include children: Terry (Ina) Wooley of Charlotte, Michigan, Garry (Pat) Wooley of Wapak, Merle ‘Dick’ Wooley of Buckland, Bruce (Diane) Wooley of Mill Hill, Pennsylvania, Jeanne Clark of Wapak and Bernice (Larry) Mullins of Shawnee, 9 grandchildren 10 great grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, a sister Doris Coon of Urbana, half-siblings Jim Pulfer of Lima, Rod Pulfer of Convoy and Sherri Bejarano of Columbus Grove and step children Jack King, Jr of Wapak, Terry King of Lima and Sherri Apple of Wapak, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by brothers Donald and Dale Pulfer and step-children Barry and Randy King.
The family will receive friends 4 to 7p.m. on Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. The funeral will follow at 7p.m. with Pastor Doug Pretorius officiating and private burial will be in Glen Cemetery, Port Jefferson.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Ronald McDonald House or Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Cincinnati.
