Eva I. DeLong, age 88, of Wapakoneta died 12:45 p. m., Tuesday, April 10 at St. Rita’s Medical Center. She was born Oct. 15, 1923 near Cridersville to Russell and Norma Fox Williams. She married Clarence F. ‘Winnie” DeLong July 27, 1946 and he preceded her in death April 17, 1995.
Mrs. DeLong had been a secretary for Baldwin Lima Hamilton and a homemaker. She greatly enjoyed her grandchildren, great grandsons and going to horse shows. She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son: Dennis (Jean) DeLong of Wapak, 3 grandchildren Doug (Kelli) DeLong, David (Ashley) DeLong and Michele (Rob) Seidel, 3 great grandsons: David Thomas, Grant Matthew and Ethan Alexander Seidel.
She was preceded in death by 2 brothers: Warren Williams who died in WW II and Byron ‘Spark’ Williams.
The family will receive friends 2-8 p. m. Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
The funeral will begin 10:00 a. m. Friday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church Cridersville with Pastor James C. Couser officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthew Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or to the activities fund at Springview Manor.
