Frances Jane Schenz, age 85 of Cridersville, died at 7:10 a.m., Sunday, November 16, 2014 at Cridersville Health Care. She was born March 12, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late William Carl and Nellie Lucille Jones Sells. On October 31, 1948 she married Leonard Paul Schenz, who survives.

Mrs. Schenz had worked for 20 years as a real estate agent and 10 years in the fashion retail business in the Lima area. She was also a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima.

She is survived by 5 children – Sharon F. Irving of Cridersville; L. Paul (Susan) Schenz of Loveland, Ohio; Barbara (James) Snyder of Wapakoneta; Eric (Debra) Schenz of Statesville, NC; Lynne (Christopher) Sanders of Cridersville; 7 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; a sister – Patricia Oberschlake of Hamersville, Ohio.

She was preceded in death by a son-in-law – Dr. Thomas Irving and a sister – Lois Fulton.

Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 19, 2014
at St. John’s Catholic Church, Lima. Burial will follow in Gethsemani Cemetery, Lima.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m Wednesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Rita’s Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Association.
