Frances Vieira, age 99 of Lima and formerly of Dearborn, Michigan died at 9:40 p.m., Monday, April 4, 2011 at Burton’s Ridge, Lima. She was born October 12, 1911 in Wayne County, Michigan. She is the daughter of Joseph and Anna Zdziepko Zazycka. On February 14, 1931 she married to Antonio Vieira, who died November 28, 1990.
Mrs. Vieira was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph at’s Catholic Church in Detroit. She enjoyed crocheting, and received great pleasure from her roses and gardening. Family was very important to her, dearly cherishing her grandchildren. She was oldest of her siblings and lived the longest.
Survivors include a son – James Vieira of Lima; 8 grandchildren – Pam (Shane) Heindel of Lima; Jim (Barb) Vieira of Columbus; Randy Vieira of Orion, Michigan; Michael (Lynne) Vieira of Lima; Kathy (Tim) Schuerman of Lima; Susan (Kenny) Craig of Hamilton, Ohio; George (Sandy) Vieira, II of Warren, Michigan; Ray (Angie) Vieira of Clarkston, Michigan; 17 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law – Marie Vieira of Clarkston, Michigan; special niece and nephews – Georgetta Wolff, Gerry Wolff, and Charles Wolff all of California; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son – George Vieira; a daughter-in-law – Wanda Vieira; a great great grandchild; and 5 siblings.
Mass of Christian Burial will begin 11:30 a.m., Friday, April 8, 2011 at St. Rose Catholic Church, Lima.
The Father David Ross will officiate.
Burial will be noon Saturday, April 9, 2011 at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, Michigan.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m., Thursday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville.
