Frederick L. Tackett age 72 of Cridersville passed away 10:48 a.m., Friday, Nov. 25 at Lima Memorial. He was born July 6, 1950 in Bellefontaine to the late Raymond E. and Aledi M. (Collins) Tackett. He married Pamela I. Sheets March 27, 1970 and she survives in Lima.
Fred was the owner of Quick Stop in Lima and Wildlife Nuisance Control. He enjoyed collecting arrowheads and other Native American artifacts. He had served in the U. S. Navy during Vietnam.
Additional survivors include children Darcy (Pete Thuman) Tackett of Lima and Craig (Tammy Neumeier) Tackett of Cridersville; grandchildren: Brandon (Nicole) Fike, and special great grandson son Maverick Fike to Grandpa Tackett; and grandchildren Brittany Weinstock, Cody Neumeier and Brandon Neumeier brother Ronald (Sherry) Tackett of Sidney; sisters: Carol (Robert) Siefring, Dianna Powell both of Bellefontaine and Shirley (Rick) Silva of Portola, CA.
He was preceded in death by brothers Raymond A. and Larry A. Tackett.
The family will receive friends 5 to 7 Tuesday at Bayliff & Son Funeral Home, Cridersville. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home via family pay on the website to help with services.
