Gentellene V. Moon age 86, of Lima passed away 7:31 a.m., Monday, January 18, 2021, at home. She was born Jan. 29, 1934 in Mill Point, West Virginia to the late James O. and Gladys M. (Walmsley) Sharp. She married Norman ‘Slim’ Moon May 15, 1963 and he preceded her in death.
Gentellene was a very godly woman. She loved to read, crochet and do ceramics. She had been a musician and was part of Slim Moon and the Moonshiners.
Survivors include a son Glayden (Marie) Sharp of North Robinson, Ohio, daughters: Jewlene Gause of Cridersville and Peggy (Renato) Rigali of Lima; Step-child: Lynn (Mary Lou) Moon of Wapakoneta, Step daughter-in-law Thelma Moon, grandchildren: Crystal (Darin) Dilbone, Shannon Sharp, Trenton (Jennifer) Gause, Bradley Sharp, Michelle (Thomas Vantilburg) Rigali, Adam (Erin) Rigali, Keegan Sharp and Presley Sharp, 9 Step grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; siblings: Rev. Doral (Paula) Sharp, Sr. of LaRue, Ohio and Ann Moore of Point Pleasant, WV and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a sister Jeulene Sharp, son-in-law Gary Gause and 2 step children: Jerry moon and Vicki Hunt .
In lieu of flowers, send donations to Putnam County Hospice. A celebration of life ceremony to be held at a later date.
