Obituary

George F. Walti, age 80 of Lima, died at 1:59 p.m., Monday Oct. 17, 2011 at Lima Memorial Health Systems. He was born December17, 1930 in Lima, Ohio. He was the son of Carl and Ida (Shroyer) Walti. Both parents are deceased. On November 26, 1980 he married Charlene Kay Hollar, who survives in Lima. He was formerly married to Wanda Mosley, and Della Musser.
Other survivors include a son Carl (Diana) Walti of Cridersville; 2 daughters Debra (Marlon) Harp of Alger, Ohio, Ida (David) Kessler of St. Marys, Ohio; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 brother Bob (Peg) Walti of Waynesfield, Ohio; and 3 sisters Wilma Randall of Waynesfield, Ohio, Flossie Randall of Logan, OH and Pauline Randall of Wapakoneta, OH.
He was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Marjorie Weidel, Betty Neuenschwander and Vera Breitigam.
Mr. Walti served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a machinist for Textron-Airfoil and a life member of the V.F.W. Post 1275 and American Legion Post 96. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and going to the Allen County Fair.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society or Allen County Fair.
