Glen A. Valenti, age 66, of Waynesfield passed away at 10:50 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 8 at Lima Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 12, 1949 in Lima to the late Robert and Martha Jane Wheeler Valenti. He married Joyce A. Tuttle July 25, 1969 and she survives in Waynesfield.
Glen had been a Journeyman Carpenter with Local 372. He was proud of his country and had served with pride during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Army. Glen was known for his Michigan hat and enjoyed being a baseball coach and babysitting his grandkids. He was a member of the Waynesfield Council and also enjoyed fishing.
Additional survivors include sons: Chad (Krista) Valenti of Waynesfield and Brad (Dena) Valenti of Waynesfield, grandchildren: Garrett (Summer) Hauenstein, Kiley, Blake, Claire and Cassidy Valenti and great grandchildren: Kamden Hauenstein and Khloe Rosa, sister Vicki From of Lima.
Glen was preceded n death by a daughter Karly Ann Valenti, brothers Joseph and John Valenti, a sister Debbie Francis and a granddaughter Kendra Marie.
The family will receive friends 2-5 p.m., Sunday and one hour prior to services at Waynesfield Baptist Church and the memorial service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday at the church. Graveside services will follow at Willow Branch Cemetery where military rites will be observed.
Memorial contributions may be given to the church.
